A: I was born on December 9, 1972. Oh no I am giving away my age! Ha, Ha, Ha! I am a Sagittarius, for those who are into zodiac signs. I grew up in Decatur, Georgia what some people from that area used to call “The Dec.”

Q: When did you start writing?

A: I first started writing short stories when I was 10 years old. At age seventeen, I started writing poetry and novels. And then age 24, I started writing spiritual and self help books.

Q: What types of books do you write?

A: I write spiritual books, romances, mysteries, women's fiction, fantasy, and young adult fiction.

Q: Where do you get your ideas for your novels?

A: My ideas for my novels come from my dreams; that is why I keep a dream journal handy.

Q: Who are your favorite authors?

A: My favorite spiritual authors are: Iyanla Vanzant, Sonia Choquette, Marianne Williamson, and Wayne Dyer. My favorite classic spiritual writer of all time is Florence Seovel Shinn of “The Game of Life and How to Play it.” My favorite novelists are Terry McMillian (my inspiration), Danielle Steele, Bille Letts, Joan Wilder, Angela Benson, John Grisham, Nora Roberts, and Walter Mosley.

Q: How long does it take you to write a book?

A: .It takes me about 3-6 months to finish a spiritual book. Novels can take me about six months to a year to complete depending on my schedule.

Q: Do you have a pen name?

A: My previous pen name was Kimberly S. Phillips. But now I go by Kimberly Ware. Kimberly Ware is my real name by marriage.

Q: What advise would you give to aspiring writers?

A: I would tell aspiring writers to hold on to your dreams and to never give up.

Q: What do you do during your spare time?

A: I love to watch movies, go for walks, to work in my garden, and paint. My favorite paint for my art work is water color.

Q: Tell us more about your future book projects.

A: "The Nia Trilogy” (Book#1 - "The Age of Innocence") will be released on Aug 2008 on Lulu.com and available in on-line and retail bookstores nationwide on November 2008 . "A Dancer's Dream" is the first book to The Natalie Series and it is scheduled for released in 2009. And my first teen book series, “The Days of Madison Creek” will also be released in 2009. I am currently working on the first book to the "Foreshadowers" series. "Foreshadowers" will be my first fantasy series. I will keep you all posted on my website.
